Don't forget to make back-ups

I got the backup system working... mounting dropbox as a virtual folder, so it doesn't take any space on the server, then take the backups, move them to the dropbox folder and unmount it.
I just haven't added a cron job yet. I'm fine tuning the script and adding/removing stuff. Currently I'm looking at emailing a file list to me and freyja after the backups are done.
It seems to be some memory leak in dbxfs (the program that mounts dropbox), which is the reason why I unmount it when done... The leak is fixed upstream, but I got debian on the server, and debian is very slow at updating stuff. I might compile it from git instead, if it doesn't work as I want it.

A cron job seems fine but it backup everything even faults, you should have at least two backups or more.
Daily, weekly, monthly, six month and a year backup.
(that will keep you busy

)

unfortunately, when running the cron job, somehow the dropbox foder doesn't get mounted.... I'll investigate more. My plan was 4 daily backups, one every 6 hours, then manually delete from dropbox

(somehow the dropbox folder doesn't get mounted)
Maybe via One drive?
You can't make backup on the same drive.. outside the system is the best solution.

I use dbxfs to mount dropbox in the file system, so the backup is not on the system, just temporarily mounted as a virtual folder. When I run the script, it mounts the dropbox folder, takes the backups and moves them to dropbox, sends a list of the content of the dropbox backup folder through email to me and Freyja, then unmounts the dropbox drive.
It works quite good, just that it didn't mount the dropbox virtual folder when trying to run it via cron
